Southend buttery

Got there around 1pm without reservation, we had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. The cafe gave off a cozy feeling especially since its a very small place. While waiting for our table, we tried the cupcakes. Although the strawberries and cream isn’t awesome, the red velvet is the best i’ve tried in Boston. It had a rich and moist texture with a cream cheese frosting that was not too sweet and thick.

The goat cheese omelet is a must try! It would have been too much, if we ordered another order of pancake so we decided to have that as a side instead. The food came in good portion for one. Unless you have a large appetite, you won’t have to order another side dish. I would also recommend the wild mushroom tart as appetizer, it was so good!! Overall, the service was prompt and friendly.
