⭐️ The Kitchin in Edinburgh, Scotland

Tom Kitchin’s “The Kitchin” one-michelin star restaurant in Edinburgh. I opted for the classic tasting menu instead of the seasonal since its my first time there.

They cook the seafood really well and the theme “nature to plate” came through. However, I don’t think I would ever take a day trip up to Edinburgh to just eat there again. Its almost 5 hours on the train each way.

1. Sourdough, variety of crackers/whatever you call those (i love the honey oat one), salted butter, and blue cheese dipping.

Beetroot, horseradish, and apple. I loved this one.
Beetroot, horseradish, and apple. A great starter to the meal.
Its a light and refreshing dish. A rockpool of West Coast shellfish served with sea vegetables in a shellfish bouillon.

Perfectly cooked scallop - one of the best I've had in a while. Seared hand dived Orkney scallops served with sauteed local ceps..the first of the season.

A underwhelming finish to a good lunch. The truffle was alright, however, the macaron was horrible. Also, the tea was not good.
